Brendan Ball Announced As One Nation Candidate for Fadden

Tuesday, February 16, 2016

Brendan Ball has been announced as Pauline Hanson’s One Nation candidate for the seat of Fadden, ahead of this year’s federal election.

The Gold Coast sales executive says “I’ve been a part of the silent majority, who typically reserve our opinions for around the barbecue, amongst family and friends - however it’s come to a point where I feel I need to stand up and speak out. I’m concerned about the path our nation is on, and if we don’t take steps to alter its course, I hold grim fears for my kids and future generations.”

Mr Ball and his young family moved to the South East corner, in search of a better environment to raise his family. He said the Sydney ‘rat race’ wasn’t for him.

Married for over 10 years, Mr Ball considers himself an average Australian, with a good job, in a reputable company and loves nothing more than spending quality time with his family and friends, over a round of golf or game of cricket.

Mr Ball brings with him a wealth of life and business experience, having also run the NSW branch of a small Australian owned OEM for over 16 years.

The first time candidate says, “This nation has a concerning list of issues that need prioritising. We must recognise the true risks of Islam impinging on Australian culture and values, terrorism, an unemployment rate that is fast approaching third world nations like Nigeria, and the cost of living that is sending families across this country to the brink of bankruptcy.”

Although having held the seat of Fadden for more than 30 years, Mr Ball believes “The LNP have lost touch with voters in the region through complacency, ignorance and murky behaviour, which lead to the incumbent Members sacking from the Governments Ministerial role.”

As speculation grows over when the Prime Minister will call the federal election, Brendan becomes the eighth candidate endorsed by One Nation leader Pauline Hanson who says “Brendan brings with him an attributes that are fresh and pragmatic, and I envisage him being the representative that’s not afraid of taking the regions concerns to the floor of Parliament”.
