ABOUT BRENDEN

Brenden Ball has been endorsed to represent Pauline Hanson’s One Nation in the Gold Coast seat of Broadwater.

Like many residents of the Gold Coast, Brenden and his young family relocated to the  beautiful gold coast  realising it was better environment to raise his family over  the ‘rat race’ of Sydney and the Broadwater was the perfect place.

Married for over 10 years, Brenden considers himself an average Australian with a good job in a reputable company and loves nothing more than spending quality time with his family and friends, over a round of golf or on the cricket field. His wife Joanne agrees that since coming to this area she has never been happier.

Brenden started his working life by completing a trade and has also travelled extensively and worked overseas. Brenden brings with him a wealth of knowledge concerning life and family, his small business experience having also run the NSW branch of a small Australian owned OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) for over 16 years.

Until now, Brenden knows he has been part of the silent majority of Gold Coasters who although may not be happy with the overall way the state is heading, don’t do much more than complain about it at BBQ’s & family gatherings.

“It would be easier for me to carry on with my life and to not get involved in trying to make a difference to this state and this area like many of us do, however, I have reached a point where I feel it’s time to stand up & be counted and that will be my call to my neighbours and friends in Broadwater, that to sit back and watch as others tell us that they will fix our problems while all they do is attend our meetings , smile and say I will look into it, is not good enough.

“I say to you that I am not afraid to stand up and say what you want fixed, I am not afraid to go to the top and stand at the door until they help us here in Broadwater fix all the problems they have created”.

“Sitting in an office sending letters and when you go to George Street you enjoy all the good food the comfy chairs and say nothing is not good enough, if you are here to be paid to serve this area then you go knocking on doors and demanding attention for the people who are paying you”.

Brenden believes we do have several good examples of good people’s politicians at the local level here on the Gold Coast that are working hard and achieving results”

Brenden believes that the current state government is a disgrace, they change ministers like they change their underwear, The rail system, which was the most reliable in the country, is now the worst, The M1 needs to be fixed but they won’t do anything because the minister won’t spend the money, it’s our money, we want it fixed. The canal systems are overrun with vandals and hoons and we don’t have enough police to stop them and now the community is doing the job for free for the state government’s incompetence. And that lack of care shows in how they feel about the gold coast, the jewel in the crown of this state.

When you consider who you want as your voice in Broadwater you have three choices, someone who sits behind a desk and smiles at meetings and does nothing (she was the member during the Neuman Days), a has been or never will be labor has been just thrown into the area because they need to get them out of the way and is told what to do by union bosses, or someone with fire in his belly and a community to serve who will not stop at anything but what is best for the people of Broadwater and will always put people before politics.
