Cairns small business owner of 35 years, Peter Rogers, has been endorsed as the Pauline Hanson’s One Nation candidate for Mulgrave.

Returning after a 7.63% swing standing for One Nation in the seat of Leichardt for the 2016 Federal Election Peter is ready and willing to shake up the major parties once again.

Peter has decided to stand for politics to make a difference for his children and grandchildren’s future.

“I want the Australia back that I grew up in. There was opportunity, both parents were not required to work and this enabled children to have a mother around as a role model. Now, parents struggle to live and raise a family and there is an insufficient number of jobs for our youth to obtain. I do not like where the country is headed and I refuse to stand around and complain without having a go myself to get the country back on track, he says.”

Peter has joined Pauline Hanson’s team because he has lost all faith in the major parties. “Our rights as Australians are being given away by politicians from the big three greedy political parties; Liberal, Labor and Greens.”

“I have come to a point in my life where I’ve had enough of the pretend running of the country I grew up in. Australia should be run as a business, with profits being put back into the people. After running a successful business, with its ups and downs, I understand and value that business is not easy from the start and all the way through, it is hard work. Business is not something to take lightly because with one mistake, you can loose your hard earned work. I am watching our politicians make multiple mistakes and enough is enough. I do not want to lose Australia.”

Peter wants to put a stop to politicians who keep milking the business, ‘Australia’, for their own self interest. “Australia cannot continue to operate in this manner. If it were a business, the administrators would have been sent in already. I have travelled extensively and we cannot let Australia experience the economic strains that European countries are currently going through. I do not want Australia to become the next Europe, but I believe we are on the verge of it with irresponsible government spending and decisions.”

“I am also disgusted that our politicians use people as their personal money collectors, to see them give benefits to new immigrants who have not contributed a cent to the country or lifted a finger to work. I stand for fair decisions and putting Australians first. Let’s clean up our own backyard and help the thousands of Australians who are in need, before we help the rest of the world.”

“We are seeing farmers suffer, we are seeing our own returned soldiers suffer, we are seeing our elderly suffer. We are seeing Australia being sold off by puppet politicians who have more interested in keeping their international masters happy. If you sell your assets then their is nothing to run your business with; Australia needs to be managed not sold. We are seeing the major parties throwing billions of dollars to the Aboriginal community and using them as political puppets, without truly getting to know the elders and asking them what resources they need to benefit their community. If money is going to be spent on any initiative or service, whether it be in education or infrastructure, I want to see results and accountability.”

Peter says he is one of the 15% of people who will be putting the major parties last this election, “after all, they put us last”. Peter believes that the 15% figure given by the media is a conservative one and that the major parties will have a big wake up call this election due to public dissatisfaction and anger.

Peter has said that he wants to be given the opportunity to run Northern Queensland as a business so that confidence can be restored to people. “Put me into Parliament so that I can assess where we are as a nation, and with consultation from the community, we can make decisions together to move forward.”
