Letter to the Editor

January 14th. 2012

Campbell Newman seems to have forgotten that in our democratic system of government , whether he likes the Premier or not, it is she and she alone who is entitled to call the election date (The Australian, Saturday, page 5, ). It is not the perogative of a private unelected citizen to call the election or make demands as to when it “MUST” be called . He should respect the position of premier, a position he himself aspires to. I suggest he calms down and do what the LNP is paying him to do, lead the LNP not Labor .

If Anna Bligh does not call the election on the day he demands, won’t he look just a little foolish?

Mr. Newman also states if you vote for an independent or minor party you won’t see a change. Rubbish! It is the LNP “Vote1” policy that has kept them in opposition for the last 13 years. They are selfishly dividing the conservative vote, instead of unselfishly trying to unite them for the good of Queensland. (Just voting 1 also cheapens your vote)

One Nation has recently offered to talk to the LNP but they didn't have the good old fashion manners to respond. Even a polite “no thanks” would suffice. Why do good manners and campaigning have to be mutually exclusive? I expected better from Mr. Newman. I am not his enemy, nor have I ever put him down. One Nation hasn't knifed the LNP in the back, whilst they have repeatedly broken “private” preference deals with us, despite their public claims of never having spoken with us. They have!

Queensland needs minor party M.P.s in government to keep the (state executive) LNP M.P.s honest and to account, otherwise we’ll have a government that will be as weak in government as it was in opposition. Let’s unite not divide the vote of those who want a change.

Dear Members,
Please be aware that as our support is surging after out State re-registration, we need to go to the coming State Election with substance as we are finding daily, that the people of Queensland want an alternative to vote for as they are not convinced the LNP is a viable alternative!

Therefore we need candidates that are able to contest effectively in the 89 seats available. We have numerous candidates that we are currently vetting but we need many more. Jim Evans (candidate for Cook) has hit the ground running and his personal support is excellent!

What we are asking is for you as members to keep your eyes and ears open as we need quality candidates. If indeed you, as a member think you could become a candidate please contact the "State Director" Ian Nelson immediately as we need to move now.

We thank all of you for your assistance through our re-registration and from here we will move in a more positive way to espouse our policies, goals and objectives.

If you have been reading the news papers or watching TV you would have already noticed that the other parties are now blatantly using our policies and our constitution which we believe exonerates us completely of being of the "extreme" right as the media led all Australians to believe! We find this amazing.

Please do what you can, please talk to us here in the office. Also log onto our New Website and if you are at all in a position, donate what you can on our website, just click on donate! or just send a cheque.

With the new amendments to "funding and disclosure" we could do well if we get enough candidates that achieve over 4% of the primary vote. As you already know we polled 14% with a possible 23% via a Brisbane Times Poll earlier this year so we are convinced that we can take seats this election!

26th. September 2011 Media Release

DON’T BE FOOLED BY BOB KATTER

State Director of One Nation (Queensland Division) Ian Nelson believes Bob Katter is Labor's ultimate political plant either by chance or design. Clearly a dangerous trend is emerging where Bob Katter's personal vendetta against the Lib / Nat party is being conducted through his flamboyant bickering by this new party, which could have been more aptly named "The Me Bob Party"! If this posturing is not exposed as being counter productive, it will catapult pathetic Labor back into power in 2012.

One Nation will not play a part in Katter's vendetta!

People who are worried and depressed about their future knowing that Labor has let them down and are apprehensive about a Lib / Nat led government should appreciate One Nations position in the 2012 election Mr. Nelson said.

The party supports a change of government, a new government with One Nation representation. Literally One Nation could give a Lib / Nat government a solid backbone and change "Can do "Campbell Newman" into a "Will Do" Campbell Newman!

Bob Katter and Labor have no influence in this peoples solution. We in One Nation challenge Bob to come up with original policy that clearly is different from that of One Nations' policies which along with our Constitution we have had for more than twelve years. It is clear that he has lifted those policies directly from those of One Nation said Mr. Nelson.

A read of our policy booklet would confirm this fact and demonstrate to the reader, Katter is no substitute for One Nations realistic position Mr. Nelson said.

One Nation policy booklet is available contact Ian Nelson 3287 4440.

LNP in for a shock!

One has to wonder whether the LNP is indeed blessed with any intelligence at all and whether they are smart enough to govern this great State! They have after all managed to lose consecutive unlosable elections time and again. Today we have that toxic Labor socialist group that has sucked them in again, and we really don't think Kate Jones is all that smart at the best of times but she was able to scam the poor old LNP for the umpteenth time!

So now we have the hierarchy of the LNP making nothing short of an obtuse statement with regards to "how they will not preference with One Nation" the question is why not? This should be about policies not not fear of being voted out of office. Is that absolutely ridiculous? Is the LNP hierarchy actually working for that other mob? Go figure! That old saying "a drovers dog" could and would strategize better!

How many times are the LNP going to be outsmarted by a socialist government who persistently slander other parties with innuendo from inside parliament and it's protection! Cowardly don't you think! It is time the LNP stopped this errant nonsense and tell Queenslanders that they do deal with One Nation, at their request and publicly deny it! We have helped the LNP get two senators over the line in two successive federal elections! Maybe, we may have to re-think our position with the LNP.

And while I am at it, come out of hiding Kate Jones and really tell us your problem with One Nation policies and where are you going to preference the Greens and why?

Ian j Nelson, State Director, One Nation (Queensland Division) 2nd September 2011

1m to guard one refugee family

THE Federal Government has paid almost $1 million to guard a refugee family that ASIO deems a security threat, after they were brought to Sydney so the mother could give birth.

Immigration Minister Chris Bowen had said they would be returned to Christmas Island once the baby was born last November.

But the Immigration Department now has no intention of sending them back.

The family has been assessed as genuine refugees, so they can't be sent home.

But they can't settle here, because of the ASIO assessment.

So the Government faces having to continue to house the family under surveillance -- at a cost of up to $5000 a day.

The family fled the Sri Lankan civil war aboard the ill-fated Oceanic Viking.

Their lawyer, Stephen Blanks, said yesterday the ASIO assessment was unwarranted, as the family had no links to the Tamil Tigers.

Immigration Department documents released yesterday revealed the bill for 24-hour security and surveillance for three months to April this year was $387,481.

In the three months before, the bill was $428,861.

Security around their house on the perimeter of the Villawood Detention Centre was downgraded in April, but security is still being provided for outings and taking two elder children to school.

Mr Bowen says the Government will continue to try to resettle the family to a third country. "There is no intention to return the family to Christmas Island," the department said.

IMMIGRATION

One Nation believes in balanced, zero net immigration (subject to review depending on economic conditions) and that coming to Australia is a privilege that must not be undervalued. We reserve the right of discretion in protecting our economy, social cohesion and cultural heritage

This does NOT mean zero immigration, as the program would admit in the order of 30,000 migrants per annum.

The justification for our policy of not exceeding zero net immigration is that environmentally, Australia is near her carrying capacity. Economically, immigration is unsustainable and socially, if continued as is, will lead to a further ethnically divided Australia. Current policy is encouraging large numbers of illegal migrants and it is time Australia, while recognising the contribution made by migrants in the past, sends to the world the message that mass immigration has passed its "use by date". It is now critical to develop a population policy for Australia in order to decide immigration numbers rationally and in the best interest of Australians. The immigration policies of the major political parties to this day have proven disastrous, proceeding as if there were no balance of payments problem, no foreign debt and no geographical or environmental constraints to population growth. If continued, such an immigration policy will irreversibly alter the natural and urban environment, economic viability as well as undermining the maintenance and further development of a unique and valuable Australian identity and culture.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Julia Gillard will be under pressure when the Greens gain the balance of power in the Senate as from the 1st July 2011. The minor party has already voted with the Opposition to condemn the PM's "Malaysia solution" and has tabled a bill that would require parliamentary approval before asylum seekers are sent to another country. Incoming NSW Greens senator Lee Rhiannon says the party will also push for a tougher mining tax to ensure that resources wealth is "spread more fairly and effectively". meanwhile, the drawn-out negotiations with the minor parties and the independents over the carbon tax will provide further ammunition to Opposition leader Tony Abbott.

This pressure on the government could well mean that an early election is now close at hand. Support for One Nation continues to increase daily and the party is already enlisting candidates in preparation of an early election.

NO PLAN - NO PURPOSE - GILLARD ATTACKS RUDD

(fROM 'tHE advertiser' 18th June 2011)

JULIA Gillard has revealed that she toppled Kevin Rudd as prime minister because he had no "sense of purpose".

As her approval rating sits at a record low amid renewed speculation about her leadership, Ms Gillard indicated it was Mr Rudd's political paralysis, rather than poor opinion polls, that led her to make the biggest decision of her life.

Speaking ahead of the first anniversary of Mr Rudd's dramatic overthrow, Ms Gillard gave a rare insight into why she toppled the then leader. "We had lost a sense of purpose and plan for the future," she said.

"We didn't have a clear plan as to how we were going to deal with a set of difficult questions or a clear plan, generally, about where the Government was driving towards. What I've done as Prime Minister is inject that sense of clarity of purpose."

Footnote : This government under the present Prime Minister has lost it's "sense of purpose" and the people of Australia will generate a "sense of clarity of purpose" when the next election is called by voting them out of office. No wonder why support for One Nation continues to grow at a rapid pace.

LIES, LIES, LIES AND MORE LIES

To all those people who have seen part of the Government’s $13.7 Million Dollars advertising

campaign to convince the Australian population to accept a new tax on carbon, the so-called

 polluting element in the atmosphere.

It has been well established that the first television advertisement with Michael Caton

standing in front of black soot coming from a power plant

was in fact, taken in England many

years ago and that plant is NOT operating now. I am

surprised that a man of his status

should allow himself to be used in this disgraceful way by the

 Government.

Nowhere in Australia will you see a scene such as this! what we have in Australia is steam

coming out of our chimneys not black soot.

How can anyone take notice of any ads such as this! when the very first one is proven false.

No wonder Politicians are right on the bottom of the list of those who can be trusted in

Australia. Lies, Lies and More Lies.

BANNING THE EXPORT OF CATTLE WOULD BE GOING TO FAR

Many of us would have viewed the ABC Four Corners programme presented by Kerry O’Brien on the 30th May 2011 and we would have been shocked

in what we saw. The scenes of cruelty to cattle in Indonesian abattoirs were horrific.

The Australian government must fix this problem, however we must not indulge in a knee-jerk reaction.

About 90 per cent of the cows raised on Top End stations (Northern Territory) are sent to Indonesia. This industry is important to the economy of the Territory.

It is worth around $350 million a year and employs many hundreds of workers. It supports many Outback communities and is one of the few sources of jobs for Aboriginal people.

About 300,000 head of cattle are exported from Darwin to Indonesia each year and the Northern Territory cattle industry generates more than $400 million directly and $800 million indirectly for the territory economy.

By banning live exports to these countries would have a devastating effect on our major rural industry.

However, we must not turn a blind eye to this cruelty and we must ‘fix the problem’ without affecting the Australian cattle industry.

This can be done in a number of ways for example Australia sending experts to Indonesia as part of a federal aid package to provide instruction on how to run an abattoir in a humane, efficient and hygienic way.

The Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Minister in conjunction with Animals Australia must work closely with Indonesia so that these inhumane practices are stopped without affecting the industry.

It is understood that the Middle East customers do accept chilled meats, and it is quite possible that this would be acceptable to Indonesia.  It is also understood that some Muslim leaders, contrary to popular claims, argue that killing without stunning is not necessary under Islamic principles, and they have condemned the inhumane treatment of animals.

By slaughtering the animals locally and selling chilled meat rather than the sale of live export animals, would create many more jobs in Australia, especially in the ‘Top End’.

It is now in the hands of the government – to fix the problem or simply turn a blind eye to it – with public outrage the message is clear that this inhumane treatment of the cattle we export is not acceptable by Australia.

Live animals should not be exported anywhere, any time unless it can be guaranteed they'll be killed as humanely as in Australia.

Mrs Pat Loy, One Nation’s National Secretary said this present inhumane practice must stop and the party will put pressure on the government to ensure the cattle industry is protected and that better slaughtering methods are put in place.

ONE NATION is a political party representing the people of Australia who are concerned that their will is being ignored by the two party system. One Nation is committed to Australian sovereignty, the Constitution and Government of the people by the people for the people.  Based on this view  we have developed policies reflecting the will of the people. Our role as a political party is to select and recommend to the people candidates that we feel reflect our objectives and policies and are worthy of representing them and their will as dedicated  parliamentary representatives.

One Nation has no friends in corporate Australia. Mainly because corporate Australia is 90% foreign owned, and they know we represent Australians only. We need your help, become a friend of One  Nation and donate to assist us with the injustice of every day occurrences in and around Australia. Australian companies are being annihilated daily with our federal government showing total indifference. That in itself is an outrage, our own Government has turned their back on Australians and Australia! Please help us with this fight, donate now.
